Starting your own business in your garage, while raising seven kids surely sounds like taking a chance, but that is exactly what Dyess Hartley did back in 1963. No money, a small hand press and a couple of cases of hand-set type was indeed risky, but Dyess had what it took…we call it GRIT!

He would tell you that he never considered failing—so he didn’t.  That meager beginning over 58 years ago has led to one of Florida’s premier printing companies.

He worked as only a person who owns a small business can know. The Hartley family’s hard work ethic turned that little garage operation into 75,000 square feet of incredible equipment with some of the best craftsmen in the industry. And, it’s guided now by the fourth generation of Hartley family leadership.

It didn’t happen all at once. It was nurtured through those years—growing, struggling and innovating while always keeping the needs of our clients as our focus!

Dyess and Margaret have passed away, but their driving force, their attention to detail, their get it done right attitude endures…yes, their GRIT!
